George Washington tells us what to do when we’re defeated…

I came across a George Washington quote in an old book this morning. Washington’s most remarkable trait was his patience. He calmly bore great responsibilities, was rarely, if ever guilty of rashness or caprice, and had the courage to overcome those who misrepresented him. This quote may have been the secret of his character:

“Defeat is only a reason for exertion; we shall do better next time.”
